I know it doesn't affect thier cleanliness or prayers but are girls still allowed to shave/wax thier arm/les hair even though no one will be able to see it because they keep everything covered.???Are teenage girls allowed to shave/wax their arm and leg hair in Islam?
Praise be to Allah.
I have already answered this question: please see the responses to questions nos. 451 and 742. In summary, it is permitted to remove the hair of the legs. Islamic schools of thought say that a woman may remove all her body hair, such as that on the arms or legs, if removing it will increase her beauty, but she must leave whatever makes her beautiful, so she is forbidden to shave the hair on her head. (al-Mawsu鈥榓h al-Fiqhiyyah, 18/100).
The woman is also forbidden to remove the hair on her face, especially plucking the eyebrows, because the promised punishment for doing that is clearly stated. For more details of the guidelines on women鈥檚 beautification, see question# 261

First: Hair that must be removed as the pubic region and the armpit. Second: Hair that must be leftover as it is such as man鈥檚 beard. Third : Hair that we told nothing about and there is no legal text determines its remaining or its removal. (Though Allah doesn鈥檛 forget anything in his Quran). This hair is left to you as you want to leave or remove and you are at liberty in that.
