Loads of creams out there - do you know one that works? She's 13 and it's just starting. What's the best cream to treat teenage acne? Also, any diet tips to help it, please?
Do not use cream that has no medical properties. It will be worst as it generates oil. Teenager like you should wash you face with foam soap regularly. Eat less oily and fried food and drink plenty of water and fruit juice. Regular exercise will peers will be useful. What's the best cream to treat teenage acne? Also, any diet tips to help it, please?
as well the other answers try getting more zinc in your diet as this can help with skin problems, either take a supplement or eat more zinc rich foods
Sudocream - honestly it works miracles - wash, apply over area in morning and see the difference in a week...keep going and you'll clear up completely...i feel your pain...its the best...trust me i've tried all sorts...and its cheap.
I would suggest the Clean and Clear range but also drinking lots of water each day (2litres) and reduce the about of oil in her diet. Things like vegetable oil and butter should be reduced.
There's lots of products at your pharmacy, but I used to use Clearasyl (an old product that works well). Keep away from chocolates and ';too much'; carbs, and greasy foods. Most people outgrow acne. My sister had bad acne but it was because she was alergic to a specific food she was eating. Check that out, maybe your daughter just is alergic to something. Mud packs (facials) are good for acne.
Don't waste time and money trying to get rid of it yourself. Go see a Skin Specialist.
my sister used it it helped her http://sratim.solution72.hop.clickbank.net/
I use retin-A but you can find some useful info on this site.

I found some good info here.
Well I was lucky, I never really had acne very bad. My friend did though. What she did was she would make sure and change her pillowcase every other night. Pillowcase gets oil and all kinds of stuff on it and laying on it doesn't help at all.
There's a thousand recipes out there about how to cure acne etc, the best thing I've seen is what my buddies niece uses, proactive or whatever it is called. Jessica Simpson does the infomercials for it.
I cant help you on creams but to stop future problems try Clinique products, exfoliator, facial wash and toner. 3 step program which really works
As a qualified Herbalist I would recommend a tea made from nettles (Urticaria dioica). This will help flush out the toxins that cause acne. Eating plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables will also help.
She needs to stay off things that will trigger acne Sugar and Chocolate are the WORST causes and so are food additives like E-numbers and such like.
for the acne use Clean %26amp; Clear - PERSA-GEL works for me
Although they say chocolate and caffeine do NOT cause acne, I suffer from breakouts after having chocolate. I've tried every single cream, lotion, medicated pads, face cleansers, soap/no soap and at age 35 finally tried the ProActive solution for combo skin. And it worked! It's recommended twice a day but I found that my skin still dried out some which caused it to oil up more when I used the cleanser, toner and lotion so I used the cleanser twice a day and the lotion in the moring and toner at night. Little expensive but so worth it! And initially your 13 year old may see a worsening but that's the acne that is already developing. My face instantly showed an improvement in one week. I recommend it to anyone who asks!!!
I loved the clean and clear range when i was a teen cos it's really gentle on the skin - some of the others can be too harsh and end up causing an over production of oil and worsen the problem. Also encourage lots of water and fruit as these can help the skin to more efficiently get rid of impurities and lessen the number of spots/blemishes. Zinc is a fantastic supplement to take as it aids healing and cell regeneration - it's also a fantastic immune booster which further helps the acne problem. Most of all, keep telling her she's beautiful, cos she is and no-one will notice the acne if she keeps her head high and her smile switched on! Good luck!!!
