Blue skirts (not baby blue or navy blue, something in between), white short sleeve turtle neck shirts, sweatshirts or t-shirts with with iron on letters for your names on the front, mouse ears hats from Disneyland (you can also buy them online, I'm certain), saddle shoes or flat mary janes with white bobby socks.

  • Teenage boy alternatives to video games?

My very non-sports big city husband has been asked at church to mentor these kids, and the kids seem eager .... but what activities might be good? pool? antique hunting? watercolor? paintball? bike repair?Teenage boy alternatives to video games?
Pool, paintball, bike riding - yes. Antique hunting, water color - NO!! Boys like to be active. They love rock climbing (indoor is fine), mountain biking, basketball, bowling, backpacking, geo-cacheing, water parks, shooting targets, using metal detectors, panning for gold, etc.Teenage boy alternatives to video games?
I wouldn't rule out sports--teens LOVE to shoot hoops, even if they're not very good at it. I also like it when kids are getting out and exercising, especially since they do spend so much time on the stupid video games. He can learn right alongside the kids, or even put them in the position of needing to teach him some of the rules of different sports.

Of your list, they all look good except antique hunting--I have a 14 year old, video game playing son, and he HATES with a severe passion anything that comes even remotely CLOSE to looking like shopping.
Caving, rock climbing, antique car shows, beach trip, and boys love to cook. They need to learn to be self sufficient so learning how to make basic dishes that they like would be fun for them.
How about a nature walk? That's what our kids like to do. Even a public aquarium is nice.
laser tag, paintball, bowling and minigolf, rock climbing.

As a suggestion, he might check out a boy scout handbook from the public library, and check out some of the activities. It has been really cool working with our boys.
Pool and paintball are the best. I highly recommend he does that with the kids. I guarantee you they'll really enjoy it. What child doesn't like paintball guns? =]

Where can I watch the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon online for free?

    you'll find it at http://UserSet.com

theres a lot of sites that have you fill out a survey like this one does but this is the only one out there that I've seen that actually offers anything (and you wont get viruses!!)

How do you choose a good teenage babysitter..???

I babysat as a teen....now I'm a mom to 3 boys....and have yet to leave my kids with a teen...

I once considered my 14 yr old neice. But at a family function, she picked up my then infant....and didn't steady his head...so for about 15 seconds before I took over...the kids head was flopping around..

At that point I decided my husband and I would never ever go out alone for at least 16 years....

Anyway, that theory is not working....the infant mentioned above is almost 4 and we also have a 1 and half yr old and a 9 yr old....

How do I determine (interview) a good babysitter? How do you choose a good teenage babysitter..???
Check around the area for local babysitting classes. Most YMCA and YWCA offer these classes for children looking to babysit. Sometimes even Junior and Senior high schools offer them. Once you find out where they hold the classes you can get a list of the children that participated, and start with that. You make a few phone calls, and talk to their parents and people they have sat for before. See how your children react to the new sitter before you go out for an evening. You could start out small, like an hour during dinner time. Have something ready or the sitter to serve the children, see what has been done when you get home. Your children will tell you what the sitter was up to when you were gone. I've had a few bad apples in my time, but never had a bad apple that actually went through the sitting classes.

Good Luck! How do you choose a good teenage babysitter..???
    You're welcome. Good luck.

I asked the youth pastor at our church and other moms at church who they used. Also ask the teenagers parents what they think.
let them interact with the kids while they are ther see how comfortable they are while you are there.
Contact a local high school and speak to a counsellor; they will usually be able to recommend a student who they think is very responsible.
You find someone with this attitude to be sure your kids are safe:

Teenage boy wants to be left alone at home?

My son has a new girlfriend (first one) and wants me to leave him with her on his birthday in the house alone. I have spoken to him about sex (I am very open with my children) and told him that is a no go area at his age as I do not want a pregnant girl and her family knocking at my door.

Any advice is appreciated.Teenage boy wants to be left alone at home?
Personally I would NOT leave them home alone together. I would feel a lot more comfortable if I were at the house to. You don't have to be in the same room but, I would check up on them every so often. So they are getting there privacy but not to much.. Even the best kid's do STUPID things. When given to much Freedom and or privacy.

But i understand I have 3 boy's. my oldest is not at that stage yet. But it already scares the crap out of me..Teenage boy wants to be left alone at home?
You can't stop your son having sex, if he can't be alone at home with her, he will meet her somewhere else if he's a horny teenager and do it there. Make sure he's clued up on contraception and accept that your son is just growing up and it's part of life.
Wow you sound like a really cool mom, not to smart but cool. You basically just gave him the green light to have sex with her at your house. Do you not think when the girls parents find out, they will, that she is not going to drop the dime on you. I'm all for getting laid but man lady you take it to a new level. Hey I'm 16 if your thinking you'd like to play cougar drop me a line.
Don't do it! Give them a little privacy but never leave them alone long enough for them to actually have sex. Just let them have the tv room to themselves and hopefully w/ the thought that you could walk in at any time will detour them from doing things that they shouldn't.
No, don't let him have the house and his girlfriend alone.

    Privacy, maybe.

But even then, I wouldn't let them be alone in his room or anything.

I'm sure you know perfectly well what teenagers left alone with their boyfriend/girlfriend get up to.
i might give him some privacy in the home but let him know that you would be checking in on them from time to time hormones are hard to control at any age lol but the teenage years are tougher a mature teenager would not make that request may God bless and protect you
    hard one

but how old is he?and how long has he been going out with this girl for?

if he's say 13 and they've been going out for a week then you've nothing to worry about than if he's 17 and its more serious

go with your judgement and if you dont feel comfortable with it then just say no

    x
    Yeah i would becaus

e whats the worst that could happen because its going to happen 1

of 2 ways! and just put a little video camera and then if they do then just ask then did you do it then ask again then say i have proof!

    break up with her NOW!
I think you should trust him assuming you have no reason not to. There's no reason to stereotype him based on a small amount of other teenagers. Only around 10% of 15 year olds have had sex anyway.
Personally I would not. Don't you remember what you did with your boyfriend when you were alone at that age LOL. And if her parents are strict I most certainly would not. Listen to your instinct on this and say no.
    Do NOT eveeeeeeeer leave him alone with her reason w/ him say ';I will be home but i will stay out of your way';
How old is he? I mean there's a big difference between 13 and 19...but they're both teenagers. We cannot judge without knowing his age.
A 15 year old alone with his girlfriend ,? no way
I think you said it best. What else needs to be said.
no no no no no no no no

    bad idea!!

Teenage girls:what do you think of white khaki pants on guys?

Eh?Details needed, please.Teenage girls:what do you think of white khaki pants on guys?
White or Beige? I'm pretty against white pants on anyone really, but khakis are really cute and great because they can be formal or laid back. You look for lack of a better word, cleaner with them I believe.Teenage girls:what do you think of white khaki pants on guys?
Depends how you wear them, and what you wear them with. Also your body shape.

They can look bad on some people, and great on others. But the pants themselves, I don't mind them, but I do prefer denim shorts by far.
I think your a f_cking f_ggot and you need to go hang yourself for asking that question.
    white? no!

    browns and tans? yes!
I think that would seem on the gay side.
umm i don't think guys should wear white pants unless they plan on sailing somewhere that same day
well....i'm not gonna say anytihng aobut that other person...rude much?

EEEEWWWW omg if u never want to get laid !! go right ahead !
    ok?

Teenage stress can cause relationship problems?

like if a teenager is having exams stress and stuff, they will not be ready for a relationship?Teenage stress can cause relationship problems?
well, sometimes i get really stressed. i become moody and needy and my bf is at the time stress too (we have exams at the same time).

so yeah sometimes it makes me more upset. because he wont talk as much because he will be studying or resting. so yeah

but he makes me feel better and makes it up to me =)Teenage stress can cause relationship problems?
Everyone passed the age of 14 is ready for a relationship. Every man needs a woman and every woman needs a man. Life doesn't feel right without the opposite sex. But 'teenage stress' is not what causes relationship problems, orgasms do, and orgasms also cause 'teenage stress'. Highs bring lows and orgasms are the highest of highs. Sex without orgasm is the only solution to the relationship problem and all the happiest and wisest men in history will tell you the same thing.
Depends you only get stressed if you arnt prepared for such oncoming events. Anyway it shoudnt effect a healthy relationship, most of the time just talking to someone your close to can ease the stress n make you relax.

Joke is teenager arnt mature n have usually no respect for their girl/boyfriend... its just pointless.
    HmmmP~

%26gt; It depends...different people have their own mind.

%26gt; some people like to be in relationship when they stress..and some are not ready/dislike to be in relationship...

%26gt;If me...i love to b in relationship cause bf will pampered their gf when they have prob or stress...hehehe...makes you feel mch better...hahaha...

    anyway...gud luck...hehehe...^^
they might be ready, but relationships should really wait for both people because they need to be focusing as much as they can on the exams :) and then all the fun is after that
no you will just be so stressed that you wont be able to focus on a relationship.

What does it take for a teenage girl to be a single mother?

pre-marital sex? What does it take for a teenage girl to be a single mother?
Motherhood is a life changing event. Expect your performance in school to lack relative to your peers, and be prepared to work two jobs at once. Forget about parties and friends, it's time to be responsible.

Because your time is now filled with feeding and changing your new bundle of joy, you will have a harder time getting and keeping a good paying job. This means that you will most likely have to work long hours in addition to caring for your child, which will reduce the amount of time you have to care for yourself.

After a while it is probable that you will begin to resent your child for your stunted career and social life. You will, over time, begin to treat your child like a mistake. Your child will grow up with a screwed up sense of self worth, and will be more likely to drop out of school, and be convicted of a crime by the time s/he is 18.

On the other hand, you could have a rich governor for a parent who will support you every step of the way, so she seems compassionate for her 2012 presidential run. In that case go for it!What does it take for a teenage girl to be a single mother?
why on earth would you want to be. sheesh goodbye freedom, goodbye going out with your friends, goodbye sleeping in, goodbye having any time to yourself, goodbye any money you had to spend on clothes, goodbye to your teenage years and proper dating, travelling, college, goodbye to a lot of your friends ( they wont be interested in hanging out with a girl who cant go out or shop or gossip about boys- you wont have time for them and they wont be interested in you anyway except that they know you will have sex with them).

hello to responsibility all day long and all night long, every single damn day over and over again for 18 years.why dont you try cooking 3 meals a day for yourself for 1 week and cleaning up after yourself, then do all your laundry, then change your bedding everyday about 3 times and wash it. if that is a little bit hard imagine doing 10 times that much and also doing it in the middle of the night.
It takes one dose of carelessness.

But it also takes patience, an overflowing bank account, and the knowledge that your social life is going to go downhill for the moment.

Consider adoption. There are people who can't have kids and will do everything in their power to make sure that baby grows up happy and stable.
well it takes sex. and lots of money and time. and im talking time.

there is nothing com paired to a single woman raising a child.

because your going to be the only parent and all the work will be

on you. and you will loose sleep when the baby is sick. you should

go and baby sit a new born child for a couple days. and then go baby

set a 17 month old for a couple days. and you your self jump up

ever time they need tobe changed and need something you would change your mind. and im a man and im telling you a mothers job

is never done and they work twice as hard as a man and need a metal
    to answer the ?:

it takes a lot of patience, understanding, love, moral support, inner strength, and lots of will power. expect the unexpected from both the baby and people around you. motherhood is a terrifying time for a teen but can also be filled with joy and fun as well. just be prepared.

NOW FOR ALL THE OTHER PEOPLE WHO ANSWERED!:

i understand that most of the time a girl can make a mistake and wind up pregnant. but that doesn't mean she is a bad person or will make a bad mother. she has options. I WAS A VICTIM OF RAPE. and i decided to keep my child. hes father is in jail now. i love my child more than anything and he is my world. he was born when i was 16. i was able to raise him to be a good child and finish high school and am now taking collage courses online. so its possible. hard. but possible. SO ALL I ASK IS THAT YU PEOPLE THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU SAY BEFORE YOU SAY IT. ignorance isn't bliss when other people suffer from your advice.
ummm... its hard to be a single teen momma. so dont do it!! but if u already have see if ur parents can help out or friends or set her/him up for adoption and meat the couple who are taking him/her in. they will prolly let u be a part of his/her life aswell

Captain Amercias on Grafton Street is a fantastic restaurant for a group of teenagers. I've been there a few times for birthday parties and I've never been disappointed with the food. They do really nice non alcoholic cocktails aswel and you can bring your own cake. They cater for most tastes with salads, burgers, pasta etcPlaces to go in dublin for teenage girls birthday?

Barcelona in July 2008 - need hotel suggestions - somewhere where both parents and 2 teenage girls will like?

We're travelling to Barcelona in July 2008 with another couple and their teenage kids as well. Would love to hear suggestions on what hotels to stay in. Do the hotels near Las Ramblas have pools or do most people go to the beach? Any other suggestions would be most welcome - what to see, do, etc.

Thanks!Barcelona in July 2008 - need hotel suggestions - somewhere where both parents and 2 teenage girls will like?
We stayed at the Apsis Splendid on Mutaner last year while in Barcelona and absolutely loved it. The rate was very reasonable, the rooms newly renovated, had large marble bathrooms, and is in an excellent location. I highly recommend checking them out. I found that most places in the city did not have a pool, rather people went to the beach...the train to beautiful Sitges (small, quaint, seaside village) is very convenient, cheap, and only takes about 30 minutes.

What is life like as a teenage mother?

I'm not pregnant or anything,I'm just wondering what life is like for these teen mothers.I know it changes your life completely, but more specifically, what is it like? What is life like as a teenage mother?
    Heyy,

I was pregnant at 16, gave birth when I was 17 then pregnant again at 17 and gave birth at 18... I'm now 19...

When I found out I was pregnant with my first son my life changed drastically... I stopped the partying, had to leave college and had to get a full time job, My Dad wouldn't let me stay living at home so I had to find my own house and set up a home in a measly 7 months. All the money I earned as a check out girl was spent on making my home as comfortable as I could and buying everything my unborn baby would need (they definately dont come cheap!!) My partner was in university so he was away a lot of the time and my friends were too busy planning their next saturday night to come round to mine to speak babies. I kept one one friend out of many and she's still my friend today although since being pregnant I see her about 4-5 times a year and thats it.

As my stomach grew so did the dirty looks I got when walking down the street, I loved my baby with all my heart even though he wasn't born yet, but I'd pretty much already lost my childhood, friends and family.

When I finally went into a labour, I'd gone 5 days over due, I had strong contractions and no sleep for 36 hours when I finally got rushed down to theatre for an emergency c-section because my little boy was stuck. Finally 7 hours after he was born I got to hold this little bundle which I'd turned my life around for and I finally felt happy. I didn't care what the world had to say at this point.

A few months down the line, I was staying in all the time, changing diapers, making bottles, bathing the baby and washing his clothes, nobody offered to take the baby off my hands for a few hours or even a night. I hardly ever got 5 minutes to myself, but I coped...

7 Months does the line I concieved again, my second son...

After his birth I suffered postnatal depression, couldn't cope and didn't even want my babies any longer, all I wanted was a few days to myself to sort my head out.

I had no-one to talk to and my partner couldn't understand it, I didn't tell my family because I wanted them to be proud of me, I started ignoring my door, ignoring my phone and sitting in all day crying. The boys just never stopped, I was up and down all day long, diapers, bottles, dinners, clothes, cleaning, keeping my one year old out of trouble... It just took its toll on me and I felt like giving up.

Luckily though, about 2 months ago, I managed to rise out of this spiralling black hole, I could see everything clearer and started to get happier.

Although its still hard today, especially with a nearly 2 year old and a 7 month old, I can hold my head high and say I had a hard time but I managed it, I got through it and I brought my babies up without any help.

I wouldnt advise any teenager to become a mum, its a lot of hard work, I know there's a lot of great teenage mums out there, but it'd be great if I waited, lived my life, made sure I had everything ready then planned a baby.

I love my little boys soo much and wouldn't change them for the world, I'd just change my timing and maybe have had them in a few years from now.

I know I've missed out on a hell of a lot but I have gained a hell of a lot from my kids... watching them smile, start talking, start crawling, start walking etc.

Thats what its like lol... Well for me anyway...

Hope this answers your question xxxWhat is life like as a teenage mother?
After watching several of my friends become teenaged mothers, I've learned its very hard emotion and financial. My one poor friend got pregnant twice by the time she was 19. And last week she finally left her boyfriend. He was abusing them emotional, and she felt she couldn't leave because she couldn't afford to support herself and the kids without him. She was trying to hard to prove to people she could make it easily without having help since she got pregnant young. But then she finally opened up and told people what was going on and they helped her get out of it. She couldn't finish high school because of some issues, and has nothing. Not all teenage mothers go through rough times, but most of them do. The mother becomes second, and everything she earns needs to go to the baby. It's a huge responsibility. It's hard. Since the teen hasn't learn real financial responsibility since most of them are still being financially supported by their parents, the new financial change of a baby would be overwhelming.

    ღ◦ƒεṃαlε◦ღ
    Its different

You no longer have your own life your whole life revolves around another human being. Its not as horrible as people try to make it seem. Being a teenage mother is no better or worse than being an adult mother except for the 2-3 year age difference. You have to get a job and become an adult which can be a little scary at times. You get made fun of and called a ****/whore/skank and are judged alot by other people. School becomes harder to manage and your social life kinda suffers a little bit but other than that, its great. Being a mother is a wonderful experience :)
I became pregnant at 15 but gave birth a week after my 16th birthday.

Most kids treated me horribly. I couldn't go out in public or even to my own school without being a called a **** or a whore. I have been called every name there possibly is by people who don't even know me. The adults were just as bad. They would give me looks all the time. Some of them even spoke their unwanted opinions to me. One time I even got a lady say to me, ';If you weren't such a **** you wouldn't have to carry around that baby sweetie. I feel bad very sad for you.'; I wanted to slap her.

Not to mention being pregnant in itself. It's painful and exhausting. You don't want to even get out of bed. Having that big stomach is so inconvenient and non-comfortable. But you still get to enjoy being pregnant and getting to carry your baby around. It is joyful in a lot of ways.

The best thing someone ever said to me was, ';You know what, hun? I find you to be very brave. Being pregnant is hard, it really is but I know you can get through this! It just takes effort. I really hope the best for you, the baby, and your family.'; It was by an elderly woman who I still talk to. I had just met her when I was out shopping for clothes and she said that and it made me cry. She had made my day.

Wow, being a teenage mother is hard. Extremely hard. You have to work, go to school, take care of a baby, and if you want to keep your friends or have a relationship you have to work that much harder! You can basically forget about your social life for awhile. When you get the chance to sleep, you take it. You're going to need it. I love my son to death and I think that's the only reason I'm able to do all of this. I've never had to try this hard to do anything in my life. I know he's the reason why I even try. He's so worth it and more.
My mom was a teenage mother. She had to stop going to high school. She worked two jobs and went to night school. By the time she was in collage she had 2 children. My mom had way to may problems and missed out on everything. Now shes single and really is not happy with life. She missed out on so much...

Its not all that great... Wait its not great in anyway.
well i was a teenage mom once. i got pregnant at 17, i was married but still in high school, senior year. it was a little hard, i didn't hang out with friends like everyone else did. i didn't go to prom, i went straight home and did my house cleaning, cooking and everything your mom does for you. i grew up way too fast but it was all worth it. once you have a baby its not about you anymore, your life gets put on hold for a while.
there is a show in mtv called 16 and pregnant got to www.mtv.ca and click on the tv shows and you can watch it on ur computer its a really good show and it kinda gives you a perspective of what they go through and deal with
You should watch the finale of 16 and pregnant. It should come on again tonight.
It's definitely hard at times but everything I do for my daughter, just results in her loving me more everyday.

    RE: Business Plans

I recommend checking out the SBA, Entrepreneur, The Start Up Journal %26amp; Nolo. All 4 are great informational resources for the new/small business owner. I posted links for you in the source box.

RE: Starting a Business in NY or FL

The best routes to take are to research the process of starting a business as well as the industry you're interested in.

    RE: Trademarks

Trademarks %26amp; Servicemarks are essentially the same thing in that the research process is similar, the application is exactly the same %26amp; the governing agency (USPTO) is the same. The main difference is that trademarks are used for products whereas servicemarks are used for services. A company can have trademarks and servicemarks.

For example, Nike 庐 has trademarks and servicemarks. They have trademarks for the name Nike 庐 and their 'swoosh' design for their clothing %26amp; shoe lines. They also have servicemarks for the name %26amp; logo for their retail stores %26amp; online retail stores.

Hope that helps! I wish you much success %26amp; happiness in all your ventures!

How do you get rid if teenage spots?

please tell me products..diets and thing what will come in useful thankyou. How do you get rid if teenage spots?
By spots, do you mean ';zits.'; Are you black? Every black person I meet calls them spots instead of zits or pimples, it's just a cultural difference I guess. One black friend didn't even know what a zit was, isn't that funny? Try Proactiv. It's expensive but it does work! And P.Diddy, Lindsay Lohan, and Jessica Simpson endorse it so you know it's good. Just follow the directions EXACTLY. It's a myth that what you eat can cause ';spots';. You should try to eat healthy just the same. Wash your face after exercise as well. Stress can cause ';spots'; too so try not to get too stressed out! And if you get them on your body which sucks, only wear 100% cotton! Good luck. Hopefully, it's just a tennage thing. I'm 33 and still get them but Proactiv has worked wonders! Oh, the drugstore also sells a kit that is like Proactiv's kit but a lot cheaper. I forgot what it's called but it says ';Comparable to Proactiv'; on the box.How do you get rid if teenage spots?
Proactive Solution, Noctozema. Both work for me.
hope that you become an adult

Teenage Guys: Do you guys realize that you have girlfriends that you don't even know about?

I also hate when like 13 year old girls start going out with a guy on Tuesday than on Tuesday night their Myspace profile is this:

I love Jimmy* soooo freakin much i can tell him anything he will always be their for me and i will always be their for him!! I would die without him!!

Then they end up breaking up Wednesday morning.

Then Wednesday night the girls profile says:

Um wow whatever floats their boat I have the same thoughts about my friend, but I don't think she would leave her bf, my other friend for me. Now can I ask you a question Teenage Girls: Do you guys realize that you have bf's that you don't know about? Like guys who have crushes on you and call you their future gf's/wives. It goes both ways here a lot of people fantasize and they do not pertain to only 1 sex and to the girls that may exhibit said feelings for me like I said I'm sorry but I have said feelings toward a girl already.
totally, i currently have a 2 husbands. i give them code names.

and then theres my actuall boyfriend but he doesnt count cuz we already know were getting married to each other.
That's just super. I have quite a collection of wives in my harem, but there is always room for more. Allah willing, I am trying to put together a women's All-Harem basketball team to give the girls something to do while I drill for oil.
Haha, I'm marrying a couple of people in the future, yes. Lol, this is, sadly, true. [:

The future husband part kind of freaks me out tbh.
He's feeling good about it now, but he doesn't know I call him my future ex-husband.
HEY GIRLS, do you know that YOU have boyfriends you didnt know about..hmmm..
i feel pretty good about that actually. whether it's true or not is a different story alltogether

Hah, I have a husband and three children that I have already named! If only he knew... :D
haha this is compleatly true!!!! I have 2 husbands, and 6 future kids!
I kinda figured that went on past teenage years too, lol.
I don't do this! Although I have jokingly asked people to marry me. But we get annulments =P
    hahah omg thats so funny!

I do that all the time about my cousin's

    three closest guy friends. lol.
when it comes to that point, it's called obsessive and creepy.

Teen boys have a switch below their navel that you need to fiddle with to get it to the on position, although it sometimes turns on by itself pending on what is in the view finder.
Girls if you go anywhere in a bathing suit , no matter what kind you will get attention from boys , but it really will not turn out to be the kind of attention you might want so be careful please.

    ';Awwww, mum..';
    Anne of Green Gables

    Witches - Roald Dahl
Whatever you do, DON'T do Juliet for an audition, everyone does it.

What can we do to stop teenage pregnancy, and reduce # of battered women in the US. How can we live purposeful

    1. Teach kids that instant gratification isn't all it's cracked up to be.

    2. Teach teens (of BOTH sexes) that hormones shouldn't control their lives.

    3. Teach girls that they don't need a guy to be happy. If you can't be happy when you're single, chances are you won't be too happy with a partner either. (This will help solve both problems.)

    4. Get rid of all the stupid crap on TV and other media outlets that glorifies sex as being the coolest thing in the world. Yes, ';sex sells';, but it's exactly that mentality that causes problems like this. Since when did money get to be more important than people's sanity and even lives?

    5. Pass more laws that punish men if they abuse their women. And actually *enforce* them, instead of just giving the guys a slap on the wrist. Maybe we need a list of abusive men, like we have lists of child molesters.

I doubt most of these will get done on a large enough scale during my lifetime, but *some* efforts should be made at least. What can we do to stop teenage pregnancy, and reduce # of battered women in the US. How can we live purposeful
I say get rid of welfare checks...that will drop teenage pregnacy by %26gt;75% in one year.

you and all your punk friends need to quit ';poking'; all your girlfriends.and then getting mad and beating them up .take responsibility for your actions.
    Kill all the men.
From the answers I see here; Sounds like the world of the future is going to be dull, uptight, and Victorian, and ignorant.
Manditory sterilization of all 12 year olds. Can't help you with the battered woman bit, but they'd be more free to leave a situation if every community had some sort of shelter.
    BACK TO THE RELIGIONS ..
you cant stop some thing that they want to do they know they can get pregnant they aren't stupid just young. The battered women have to decide for them self's if they want it to stop i know cause i was one of them years ago.its hard but can be done if they just talk to another who has gone threw it also.As for living purposeful not sure what you mean
Education. We as parents and techers need to educate our kids, be open and honest with them about these issues. Education is so very important. Kids need to know that it's ok to say no and that they have options. They also need to know that there is help in preventing pregnancy and domestic violence.
Men must begin to live for God instead of their hormones. Men must learn to take responsibility for their lives and their actions. A woman act around a man, the way she wants to be treated, and I assume that the majority of them do not want to be looked upon and treated as whores and do not want to be beat up. There is a lack of respect on both sides of the fence. God never intended that a woman be viewed as property of her husband, nor did he intend that the woman should be head of the household. Ungodly attitudes lead to ungodly behavior and this is the real problem---God is not with the whore mongers or the whores. If he were, then they would not be whore mongers or whores. We can only live purposeful lives through Jesus Christ. If you are without Christ in your life, then I have just one question for you: How is life working out for you? Jesus loves the ungodly, but he does love ungodliness. He wants people to respect one another, but they cannot do that without embracing him first.

Should i give my 11 year old sister the talk about the birds and the bees and the danger of teenage boys?

She is entering MIddle school and im worried about the horny boys roaming the halls preying on girls. I dont think my parents will talk to them about it cause they never talk about me wit it and its not like them to tell any thing tat has to do wit sex around us. im 15 btw..wat u guys think?Should i give my 11 year old sister the talk about the birds and the bees and the danger of teenage boys?
Definitely, that should be your job as the big brother. Let her know what's up, and make it so that she'd be comfortable coming to you. The best resource a girl has is to talk to someone with common sense, and it's definitely not going to be any of her girl friends.Should i give my 11 year old sister the talk about the birds and the bees and the danger of teenage boys?
    yes, you should

  • Is it out of line that my friend Ed says he masturbates to teenage girls?

This is going to sound like a strange question but my friend Ed says he is always horny and when he isnt getting in womens panties, he constantly masturbates. I am like so what? He then says sometimes when he drives by the high school and middle school in his neighborhood, he checks out the girls and then goes home and masturbates to them. He says many have cute little butts. I told him it was too much info. But in reality, should I talk to him or does he need help or is this type of fantasy ok?Is it out of line that my friend Ed says he masturbates to teenage girls?
it is not okay iof he is in his fifties...........******* weirdo.... but maybe the friend you are talking about is you?Is it out of line that my friend Ed says he masturbates to teenage girls?
Not only is it NOT OK but I feel that kind of behavior borders on criminal
There's another word besides pedophile for men who like teenagers, but I forget what it is. If your friend is telling you this much, there's probably more to the story. He is probably deliberately driving by middle schools. He is probably looking at porn online, and he may be buying porn that is illegally produced, featuring younger girls and children, which harms those children. So, there are victims, even if he's not actively pursuing anyone. He can also be arrested for buying this kind of porn.

But he may be trying to lure young girls into his car, or getting to know them through his friends, which is dangerous to them, of course, but it's also dangerous to him, because he might get arrested or beaten up by someone's father, or even killed. So he's in danger that way.

He's also in danger of getting arrested if he's trying to meet children through the internet. Watch Dateline NBC if you don't believe that, they're helping guys get arrested every week.

What's worse, even if he's just masturbating while he fantasizes, he can get stuck on those fantasies. Right now, he can probably still get erections with adult women, but if he always masturbates while thinking of young girls, eventually he won't be able to get erections with adult women.

Yes, he needs help, and soon, before he gets into trouble or danger. You can try talking to him. You should also keep an eye out to see if he's trying to make young friends, or date women who have young children, which is a common way for guys to access young kids.

If you really think he's doing more than looking, like stalking, you have to face the moral question of whether to report him to the police. You might want to consult with someone who also knows him, or a minister or something.

This guy sounds like trouble. You may also want to rethink your frienship.

    Wow, what a story!
why would he even tell you???that itself is strange why does he need you to know his sexual habits?
how old is this guy?? if he's older than 20 and is checking out high schoolers it's wrong. and if he's old enough to drive, then checking out middle schoolers is just creepy. you should get someone professionaly to talk to him...you might have a pedophile friend there.
You should talk to him...sooner or later it's going to lead to rape and that's not a good thing...Masturbation is ok...but like come on...he's pretty much stalking people. Tell him to like stop or something because it's going to turn out bad.
I've got a friend called Ed who masturbates to cute teenage boys and likes their cute little butts. What the hell is up with guys called Ed?
I think that as long as the fantasy stays a fantasy and he's not hurting anyone then let him be.

If however he acts upon his urges then he should be strung up by his 'tender area' until he can't do any more damage with it.
If he's over twenty, he has issues.
    HE IS A PEDOPHILE!!!!

    HE NEEDS HELP!!!!

    HE CRAVES CHILDREN!!!!!

DON'T LET HIM BE ALONE WITH YOUR CHILDREN!!!!
i would really keep an eye on him. you don;t want that kind of fantasy turning into reality. personally i think its creepy and disgusting but that's just me. if you think you should talk to him and see if he is a threat or not then do so or get him to talk to a councellor if he is willing.
No, it certainly isn't okay - that's called pedophilia. I'd say that he really needs help.
Dont talk to him, he needs some serious help.

There is also the Evermore: The Immortals Series by: Alyson Noel. (It's also about Vampires) I haven't read them yet, but I've heard that they are better than Twilight. Here are some reviews about them:

This opening book in a new series, The Immortals, will thrill many teen fantasy-suspense readers, especially fans of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight series. Seventeen-year-old Ever survived the car crash that killed her parents, younger sister, and their dog. Now she lives with an aunt in Southern California, plagued not only by survivor guilt but also by a new ability to hear the thoughts of all around her. She tries to tune out all these distractions by keeping her hoodie up and her iPod cranked loud, until Damen, the cute new boy at school, convinces her to come out of her shell. Damen, however, is frighteningly clever—and has the strange ability to produce tulips from nowhere and disappear himself at critical moments. Noël (Saving Zoë, 2007) creates a cast of recognizably diverse teens in a realistic high-school setting, along with just the right tension to make Ever’s discovery of her own immortality—should she choose it—exciting and credible. Grades 8-10. --Francisca Goldsmith

    Review

';Evermore is addictive. When I wasn't reading, I was thinking about how I could sneak away to read some more. I couldn't put it down. I dreamt abuot this book. And when I was finished, I couldn't get it out of my head. This book was simply breathtaking.'; --Teens Read Too

';Teen angst and the paranormal make a combustible mix as Noel utilizes typical themes and gives them a dangerous and eerie twist. Getting hooked on this new series, The Immortals, is guaranteed.';--4 stars! Romantic Times Magazine

';I found myself unwilling to put the book down, even though I had to at some points, because I wanted to know what was going to happen…Ever was so real and her emotions were so believable that it was a little creepy. It's like Alyson Noël is actually a grieving, lovestruck teenager. She got Ever completely perfect. And by perfect, I mean delightfully flawed and deep.” --The Frenetic Reader

';I loved this book. It really keeps your attention though out the story, because the puzzle gets pieced together bit by bit, but you don't know exactly what happened until the end. The only thing that disappoints me is that the second book won't be published for a while. I would definitely recommend this to my friends.'; --Portsmouth Teen Book Review

“Evermore’s suspense, eerie mystery, and strange magic were interestingly entertaining…I found Ever to be a character I could really respect…Recommended.” –The Bookworm

“Beautiful main characters, tense budding romance, a dark secret, mysterious immortals—what more could you ask from this modern gothic romance?” –Justine Magazine

“I fell into it easily, and loved the world Noel created . . . The fact that Ever had psychic powers was truly interesting. They flowed neatly through the book and I felt Ever's pain . .trust me, this book was really good. I couldn't put it down. Alyson Noel created an amazing new world, and after this book I am so curious to see where it heads because honestly, I have no idea.” – Reading Keeps You Sane

Also, I'm going to reccomend you my favorite book ever. It's AMAZING and had me crying in the end. If you havent' read it, you must! It's Kissed by an Angel By: Elizabeth Chandler. The books are absolutely amazing, it's a trilogy in one book :) Here are some reviews:

In a romantic and suspenseful collection of the New York Times bestselling trilogy, love's unbreakable bonds are put to the test.

When her boyfriend, Tristan, died, Ivy thought she'd lost everything, even her faith in angels. But now she's discovered that he's her guardian angel -- his presence so strong that she can feel the touch of his hand, the beat of his heart. Ivy needs Tristan now more than ever because he knows she's in terrible danger. Only Ivy's guardian angel can save her now that his killer is after her.

But if Tristan rescues Ivy, his mission on earth will be finished, and he must leave her behind forever. Will saving Ivy mean losing her just when he's finally reached her again?

Kissed By An Angel is a GREAT read for any fans of romance and mystery. hii. i've also read the twilight books, though i didn't actually like them.

regardless.. there's this author, Amy Lane, who self published a series called ';The Little Goddess Series';. it doesn't really have anything to do with goddesses that much, but you'll get it if you read it ;)

they aren't really popular, but it's a really amazing series. it has vampires, shape-shifters, sorceresses (one sorceress, actually), elves, sidhe, and many others..

it's very creative and original, definitely not an over-used plot with cliches all over it.

they're a little more pricey than books in general (like i said, self-published) but it's definitely worth every penny :)

    here are the books' names:

you can also peek inside the books- though it gets better and better throughout it.

IMPORTANT!! do not read the 2nd and 3rd books' first pages! i did that, and there's a horrible spoiler :( :(
VAMPIRE ACADEMY ! You should definately read this series, it is one of the best vampire series Ive ever ever read and Ive read loads of them too. Theres four books, vampire academy, Frostbite, Shadow Kiss and Blood Promise. Thats by Richelle Mead.

Morganville Vampires Series is another absolute FAVE of mine :) Theres 6 books; Glass Houses, Dead Girls Dance, Midnight Alley, Feast Of Fools, Lord of Misrule and Carpe Corpus. By Rachel Caine. Amazing !!

The silver kiss is a stand alone book that I thought was really good too ! Its by Annette Curtis Klause. She also wrote a werewolf book called blood and chocolate that I thought was good. Just dont watch that film, I thought it would be as good as the book but its seriously awful.

    Hope I helped :)
I'm into all that stuff too so here we go:

Brief History of the Dead by Kevin Brokmeier

    Stepford Wives by Ira Levin

American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis
Harry Potter has werewolf things in it. Of course, if you read HP fanfiction, you can get a lot of vampire/werewolf stuff in it... I cannot think of any books right off that have those properties right now. It's a new fad.
Two good books about vampires are by Claudia Gray called Evernight and the sequel Stargazer. The third book will be coming out in December this year (2009)
If it doesn't necessarily have to be vampire books, these are books I have enjoyed reading after Twilight. Some are vamp, some arent.

How do you feel your childhood/teenage years might have been different with a website like this one available?

childhood : would have missed out playing by the creek, woods, climbing trees, exploring near and far, rounders , hide and seek, hopscotch, skipping, running on the beach getting home with new grazes on the knees on a regular basis ......ever wonder why kids used to be more healthy ?

teenage : would have loved it, but spent more time sitting on the fence with girlfriends talking about boys , thats right talking about boys ,none of us went on dates till we were 16 .How do you feel your childhood/teenage years might have been different with a website like this one available?
For one thing, it wouldn't have been possible to brainwash me into believing that no one else is the world was like, that I had to get in step or else. But the world then was different than now, so the lack of acceptance would have been the same, the pressure to ';not be gay'; would still have been there.

There is good and bad in the cybersphere. The good being the democratization of the globe and the undermining of authoritarianism. The bad is both in peoples' unwillingness to treat others' experiences and views with respect and in their being too willing to believe whatever they read on-line without questioning the source.

Like everything else, it's all still a work in progress. How do you feel your childhood/teenage years might have been different with a website like this one available?
This one? Meaning Yahoo or Answers or Seniors? Well, the Internet would have to had been in existence. Of course it was not. But theoretically, it really makes no difference.

No I don't agree. Children have become more isolated, even within their own families. The Internet and cell phones contribute immensely. Social contact in youth is very important to adult development. Yes, the information network is important. However, in reality the computer is used for recreation more often in the family than what it was intended. The Internet is used more for many other things negative than positive.

The majority of youth can not even formulate a question nor write properly. That's a perfect example of the failure of the Internet. In a large spectrum of the web ignorance is enhanced and tolerated. Including Yahoo Answers.
When I was a teenager we would have never had time for a computer or a website. We had work to do every day after school. Cut and carry wood for the furnace, Get in two or three buckets of coal for the furnace. Pealing potatoes for the nights meal. Doing laundry of our dainties. Homework from school. Summer it was a 5 acre garden to keep weeded and fall, harvest that garden. Work in the fields picking up potatoes and string beans. Boxes of strawberries by the hundreds. Going to church on Sunday.
Would have loved a website like this but I would have been sleep deprived to use it. I was involved in everything so time to use it would have been a factor. I love the fact that people from all over the world connect on here, hopefully that makes us all think a little more globally.
I feel that they may have been a lot better because I would have seen others with similar or worse problems and not felt so alone.

Or on the other hand, being young and naive and very impulsive it's probably best that I didn't have the computer back then. I got into enough trouble as it was! LOL
I probably wouldn't have spent much time on the computer unless it was a rainy/snowy day. I loved being outside in the sunshine %26amp; fresh air, playing with my friends, doing what kids did back then. As a teen, I probably wouldn't have spent that much time on the computer either, because I was very active during those years %26amp; no moss grew under my feet.
I think it would have been better, hopefully someone on here would have told me that there was nothing wrong with me and that my mother was mentally ill and normal mothers dont act like that. I would have probably met others with abusive parents and realized it wasnt just me.
Well - I guess I would be like the kids of today and be having fun on My Space.

Life as I know it would have passed me by and I would have missed out on all the simple fun things, that made me who I am today.

Heck - maybe I wouldn't have found the time to get married.loll

    DeeJay.
I would not have lived as long as I have. . . My mother would have killed me for being on here so much ! I heard today that the average teen spends 2 hours a day on the internet, and I laughed ! I hope they do not run that test on seniors, I would definitely flunk !!!!!
I would have flunked out of high school, taken to drink, and become a bum. Thank you, for not having Yahoo! Answers 45 years ago. I'm a better person for its absence when I was a teen.
I would have missed a great deal of good things that these kids today know nothing about.
I never had time to sit at a computer and look at a site like this..

I did what most kids did then played outside with balls..ropes..bikes
I'd have two sets of bullies to deal with: real ones and their cyber cousins.
    Worse

What a great sister you are. I wish you were mine when I was young.Should i give my 11 year old sister the talk about the birds and the bees and the danger of teenage boys?
I think you should talk to her a little. Tell her that there are a lot of boys running around Middle School that will act like they really like her but that they are not really serious and just want to have a good time trying to touch her where they shouldn't. Eleven is a little young to go into full details, but she does need some guidance.
Yes. The more positive awareness children have as they enter their teens, especially about the responsibilities and repercussions of sex, the better. I read about kids losing their virginities as young as 12 years old and it frightens me.

My parents didn't know how to have ';the Talk'; with me; they gave me magazines and books instead. Lol. It worked out alright, though. ;O)
Yes, You should give her the story and let her know how boys will be attracted to her and do stuff to her. let her know what to do if the boys want to start touching her in places, then she'll know what to do instead of letting those boys touching her all around while she just stands there.
I am the horniest stalker you will ever see in a middle school :DDD

But seriously, Only tell her about the danger of teenage boys and how the will probably break her heart more than once. She all ready knows the birds and the bees from the Family Life unit at school.

    Good Luck!
yaa i think you should just tell her to be careful and stuff

Anyway I like uncircumcised and did when I was a teen

HarrietTeenage girls - what do you like more, circumsized or uncircumsized?
You're 15. You don't need to be having sex unless you want to run the risk of paying child support.

But I would personally prefer circumcised.
My boyfriend is uncircumcised. I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter though. Either way it's still a penis.

Is it out of line that my friend Ed says he masturbates to teenage girls?

This is going to sound like a strange question but my friend Ed says he is always horny and when he isnt getting in womens panties, he constantly masturbates. I am like so what? He then says sometimes when he drives by the high school and middle school in his neighborhood, he checks out the girls and then goes home and masturbates to them. He says many have cute little butts. I told him it was too much info. But in reality, should I talk to him or does he need help or is this type of fantasy ok?Is it out of line that my friend Ed says he masturbates to teenage girls?
Registered Nurse here; For God's Sake and the sake of the little girls, turn your friend in. He's a pedophile, if he does this. Many times, it begins in this manner, and then deepens till he actually has to have one of these little girls. Going by schools, this is so very dangerous to the children, please Go to your nearest police department or sheriff's office and turn this guy in. It's your responsibility as a citizen to protect this children, after this freak has shared this information with you. You owe him no loyalty or anything, your attention now must go to the children and young teenagers. Please without delay turn this sick-o in.Is it out of line that my friend Ed says he masturbates to teenage girls?
I think he should keep his fantasies to himself.
I don't think anyone should get in trouble for a fantasy, but the driving by high schools and especially middle schools is a little creepy. As with anything there is nothing wrong with fantasizing as long as you don't act upon. Though I would also feel like this was way TMI if I were his friend.
I think you need to talk to him and he probably needs some kind of professional help, especially about the middle school thing. Gross! But not knowing him it's hard to judge, but I had a friend who kind of talked like him and he ended up sleeping with a 13 year old when he was 35.
Ok frist off he needs to resuiter as a sex offender cuz thats just worng! i would hate to know a guy is going around in my town and masterbating to lil kids that like EW!

Second he needs a life serously
    How old is he?
